The Caldwell Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome Strnad Land and Cattle to the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce! Troy and Julia Strnad have always been around a farming operation in some capacity but stepped out on their own in 1998. Along with their children Sammie, currently a Senior at K State majoring in Animal Science, and Trey a Freshman majoring in Agronomy Business at FHSU the Strnad's have created a wonderful family operation. Besides the crops, the Strnad's have also been successful cattlemen, raising 125 cow calf pairs. During the Pandemic, Julia saw the rise in beef prices at the store, but that rise didn't make its way back to the farmers. Together they decided to help their neighbors by offering whole, half beef, and individual cuts of beef cutting out the middleman and allowing their customers the opportunity to save where they can, by going straight to the source.
The Strnad's are very active in 4H, the Sumner County Fair, and their dedication to their community does not go unnoticed. We are lucky to have them as new Advanced members of the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce. Check them out on Facebook at Strnad Land & Cattle, or order direct at (620) 863-2471.
