Just across the state line lies a hidden gem comprised of 9 holes. The Caldwell Golf Course didn't always start off in Oklahoma, in 1922 the Caldwell Golf Club "North" was built in a pasture just across the way from the now KanOkla HQ. In 1930 the Club moved to its present location which has since been donated to the Club by the late Duane Scribner and his wife Mona.
It's not easy keeping a nine-hole golf course running but the dedicated golfers and officers do a fine job of it. Many organizations utilize the course for fundraisers which are always successful. Most recently the Golf Club held a fundraiser for a "green" project to replace the turf on hole 9. They did this by offering businesses an advertisement space on their scorecards with great success and the opportunity for area businesses to get their name out there. There will be additional fundraising efforts in the future to replace more greens.
Upcoming tournaments include May 8th in celebration of their hundredth anniversary in conjunction with the Chisholm Trail Festival, May 13th for the Guys & Gals Open, and May 21st for the Scott Rice Memorial Tournament.
Be sure to follow along with the Golf Club on Facebook to find out additional information regarding upcoming progress on the course and tournaments
