Business Spotlight: Come and Get It!

Come and Get It! Is a family-owned and operated business that consists of a food trailer, catering, and most recently, freezer meals. Come and Get It! Consists of Emily and Temple Jones and their 11-year-old son Tyler. They have been in business for over 5 years.

In the food trailer, they serve up fan favorites such as tacos, nachos, and walking tacos. Although they don’t open the food trailer often, you don’t want to miss it when they do. Pre-Covid, Come and Get It! Had a standing Taco Tuesday, where you could get delicious tacos for a great price. However, after COVID hit, they thought it was best and safest to postpone Taco Tuesday for a while. But they have great news, they are thinking, after it warms up a bit, they are going to be opening back up for Taco Tuesday. They are also looking at the possibility of expanding their menu for the food truck.

Come and Get It! Also caters to groups as small as 5-10 to groups as large as over 100. Their catering menu consists of things like lasagna, taco bar, enchiladas, and so much more. You just have to call them up and tell them what you are looking for and they will do the best they can to accommodate.

Their most recent adventure is freezer meals. Some of their most popular freezer meals are enchiladas, Mexican casserole, shepherd’s pie, and pasta bake. All meals can go directly into the freezer, for a rainy day, or can go right into the oven for dinner the night of pick up. Come and Get It! Usually sells freezer meals every two to three weeks. Their menu items up for sale will be listed on Facebook, and people can order directly from Facebook or call or text Emily. However, if you have a large family gathering and you need some freezer meals to accommodate, call Emily. Usually, with about 24-48 hours' notice, she can whip something up for you.

Come and Get It! is also the host of the annual ladies' night event Big Time, Small Town. This event has been held for five years and is growing more and more each year. The event is held on a Saturday evening in November and features vendors of all sorts, bingo, door prizes, and some samplings of their food. This is a great event to get you and your girlfriends out to or for a mother/daughter evening.

Whether stocking up on grab-and-go meals or having Come and Get It! cater your event you won’t be disappointed. Give Emily a call today at 620-845-4326 or follow their Facebook page to stay in the know on freezer meal release dates and other special events!
