Shop Your Hometown First Promotions

The Retail Committee of the Caldwell Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring 2 special promotions to remind holiday shoppers that shopping locally not only benefits the businesses of Caldwell, but also brings special “rewards” just for shopping your hometown first!

The Chamber will kick off its holiday shopping promotions on Saturday, Nov 25th  in recognition of the annual  nationwide “Small Business Saturday”  campaign. The campaign (which was first observed on November 27, 2010)  encourages consumers to patronize and support small and local brick and mortar businesses across the nation on the Saturday following Thanksgiving.  The 2 promotions,  “SHOP CALDWELL FIRST” and “SANTA’S TOY SHOP DRAWINGS,”  will run from Nov 25th through December 16th.

The “SHOP CALDWELL FIRST” promo will entitle shoppers who spend a minimum of $10 per visit at participating merchants a chance to win Caldwell Christmas Bucks!  Shoppers will receive a ticket to drop into the store’s “Shop Caldwell” container each time they make a qualified purchase from Nov 15 through Dec 16.    Tickets will then be placed into a big hopper for the drawing which will  take place during  a special community event to be held  on Sunday, Dec 17th  at the Su Co Fair Building.

“SANTA’s TOY SHOP DRAWINGS” will also take place beginning Nov 25th and run through Dec 16th.   Participating local businesses will sponsor a give-away of toys and gifts just for KIDS!  Stores will each offer their own unique gifts with their own unique requirement for entering a child’s name into the drawing.    Be sure to visit each participating business to see what they will be giving away and how to enter!  Some may require an in-store purchase while others may involve bringing in an item to be donated to a good cause. (such as:  can goods for the local food bank, school supplies, donation towards the new Splash Pad, etc)  It should be fun as well as rewarding!   The “TOY SHOP DRAWING” will also take place at the special Community Holiday Celebration on Sunday, Dec 17th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.  at the fair building.

Everyone is encouraged to get  into the holiday spirit by supporting our local businesses throughout the holiday season by “SHOPPING YOUR HOMETOWN FIRST!!!”
